TRANSFORMATIONAL LIFE COACH

Miriam is a transformational life coach, specialising in supporting individuals who are feeling frustrated, overwhelmed or fed up, and helping them to reconnect with what it is that really matters to them, and regain control and balance within their own lives.

Miriam initially trained in medicine (at Cardiff University, 2006-2012), and worked for a few years as a junior doctor before moving fully into medical education – training physician associate and medical students (at St George’s, King’s, and Queen Mary University of London).

Following a longstanding passion for understanding what makes us tick, Miriam completed an introductory certificate in psychotherapy and counselling (Regent’s University, 2015), and a diploma in transformational life coaching (Animas Centre for Coaching, 2018-20). Coaching provides the perfect venn diagram of her experience and interests – understanding people, creating compassionate listening spaces, and cultivating collaborative learning and growth.

Miriam left her senior lecturer role at Queen Mary in June 2022, walked (the second half of) the Camino de Santiago in Northern Spain, and leapt into life as a freelancer/self-employed coach. Alongside 1:1 coaching and running workshops around preventing burnout, she freelances for an organisation supporting GP practices in North East London, as well as training medical students in communication skills such as breaking bad news.

Work in the NHS, higher education, and start-up-like teams, has given her a deep understanding of the challenges of working in systems under strain while trying to have a positive impact on the world. This has resulted in a passion for supporting individuals to find their way back to themselves when burnout and disillusionment loom large. In other words: creating spaces where it is OK to acknowledge the difficulty of the current world situation, to let emotions out, and to envision and take action toward a more joyful and harmonious future.

Karen’s focus is on the emotional aspect of a fertility, pregnancy and early years journey, looking at the mind / body connection using a unique blend of coaching techniques to guide you to be in the optimum mental state for your journey. The impact on the outcome of your journey as a result can be huge.

Karen’s work utilises the Freedom Fertility Formula and Freedom Family Formula, as well as NLP, EFT, TIME and Hypnotherapy techniques. From Day 1 there will be a positive shift. With free take away material, including guided meditations, you can continue your practice between sessions for optimum results.

Having been through a long fertility struggle, challenging pregnancy and birth trauma herself, Karen understands how the journey can shape you, and the fear of loss doesn’t always end with a positive pregnancy test.

Working together you will improve your emotional wellbeing, sense of self and outlook. You will soon be enjoying living in the wait, not waiting to live.

SENIOR HOMEOPATH

Member of the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths (MARH)

Dawn graduated from the London College of Homeopathy in 1999 and joined the Dulwich Therapy Rooms team not long after. Her interest was sparked when her first child suffered persistent glue ear and homeopathy brought him back to robust health. As the mother of five children, Dawn has a wealth of first-hand experience and knowledge she draws on when treating adults and children at varying stages of life. She often teaches parents how to self-prescribe in first-aid situations, and gives talks on Acute Prescribing in cases such as wounds and sprains; burns and scalds; coughs and colds; bites and stings, etc.

Homeopathy has a wide application and can help not only those who’ve checked clear at the doctor but still don’t feel back to normal, but those who are suffering from chronic or terminal illnesses. Other ailments commonplace to childhood, pregnancy, maturity and old age can all be beneficially treated by judicious use of homeopathic remedies. Dawn may also offer advice on diet and lifestyle alongside constitutional prescribing.

Available Mondays 10am–3pm, Wednesdays 9.30am–5pm & Saturday mornings, please ask reception on 020 8299 4232
